Nice seafood. Very friendly staff. It was a hot day but the waitress recommended that we sit under the tree which was quite nice.

I have been dining here regularly for over 20 years . The Life Boat serves the best fish and chips in Sydney . The seafood is fresh and mostly caught from the Hawkesbury river. It is a quaint outdoor setting right on the river. Sometimes during weekends at lunch they have a guitarist who sings beautiful lilting songs about Brooklyn and the river lifestyle . The food is moderately priced for huge servings . The head chef / owner is a great guy and the staff are very pleasant. The Life Boat restaurant is one of Sydney's best dining experiences . Dont be afraid to catch the train to Hawkesbury station , the views are magnificent and the restaurant only a lazy 5 minute walk .
